武装錬金第２話　- Busou Renkin Episode 2

Tokiko teaches Kazuko about his Buso Renkin as well as how the humonculis are created; Kazuko’s friends believe he has a new girlfriend.

– Kazuko friend takes his cell phone and see’s Tokiko’s number and automatically thinks he has a girlfriend, Kazuko takes the phone from him and calls him a pervert for always thinking in that manner.
– Tokiko calls and his friends interpit the conversation as one betwene a girlfriend and boyfriend, thus spazzing.
– Our villian is introduced and wants to get rid of our heroine
– Kazuko prays for the soul of the Teacher that died as well as the guys from ep 1 that got erradicated by him and meets Tokiko.
– As Tokiko takes him inside the building, Kazuko blushes a bit as he looks up her skirt or at her legs (this is an occuring theme in this ep)
– Kazuko presents to her his 4 step plan to mastering his buso renkin, she explains to him that its not so easy or silly.
– Tokiko shows him a flask which should contain a mechanism used to create the humonculis and they go on the roof to talk about the creation of humonculis.
– Humonculis are human beings who get these things implanted in their brains that turn them into monsters. So its not the ‘traditional’ humonculis that is known, a human who has been created through the remains of a dead person and other organic materials. This method can be related to the FREAK chip in Hellsing.
– Our villian tries to implant one of those things in Tokiko, and Kazuko warns her, helping her to dodge it. She notices them in the sky and uses Kazuko’s buso renkin to shoot up in the air to attack them. She misses them but manages to knock the piece away from them.
– The villian flies off and they resume their activities. Then they pray over the guys lost.
– Kazuko’s friends and sister find them and they believe he has a girlfriend, Tokiko is like ‘ what’s this about a girlfriend? ‘ and then this spawns various ideas from a teacher and Kazuko who’s a masochist to an indirect sister.
– As they return back to the school, Tokiko notices the humonculis seed attatched to Kazuko’s sister. Debating on what to do, Tokiko is ready to attack when the piece begins to try and implant in his sister but backfires when it shoots out at her instead. Kazuko tries to save her by jumping in the way and knocking them off the street.
– The crew thinks that Kazuko is taking his girlfriend someplace quiet, Kazuko is rolling down a rocky hill and getting hit in the head by rocks until he’s knocked unconscious by a bolder.
– Kazuko wakes up and wonders if she’s okay, but to find out the thing got her. She mentions that when it takes over her, he has to kill her but conversation is cut short when they’re attacked. She tries to unleash her buso renkin but the humonculis seed prohibits her.
– Kazuko summon’s his and defeats the monsters, unleashing his powers. Tokiko notices that and realizes that he isn’t so noobish as she thought and Kazuko says that he’ll basically protect her. End of episode

This episode was really good and officially got me hooked on continuing this series. The animation was really good and so was the voice acting; for a standard shounen its really pushing the envelope when it comes to quality and voice acting. I really can’t wait for next episode to see if Tokiko makes it out of her predicament or not… and more about this butterfly man that’s turning all these people in the humonculis. Oh! And this week we finally get an opening which is like fast pace and really hyped. The theme song is standard but the opening animation is sweet.
