Hidarime Tantei EYE Episode 4 – Ur doing it wrong

If you gonna stab someone, stab them in the neck. Duh~!

In the latest episode of Hidari Boys, I mean, Hidarime Tantei Eye, Ainosuke continues to dream about people dying around him. This time he dreams about his lovely apartment complex friends being stabbed to death by his lovely brother, Yumehito, and then standing to witness his brother shoot his lovely school nurse in the head! Of course he dreams about violently stabbing his brother to death for doing all of this, not without Yumehito taunting him at the end,

” See? It’s very easy to kill a person. ”

Ainosuke freaks out and wakes up to realize, Oh! It was just a dream!

Our scheming Yumehito and his cohort, Noriko, decide to target Ainosuke and those close to him. Yumehito is really hell bent on trying to kill his brother and what’s not better than targeting a hard metal VK concert that all the young kids are going to? Using blue wrist bands, that are like a transdermal patch, to cause the concert goers body temperatures to raise and thus build up their agitation, the band Blue Heaven’s song riles up the crowd to become animostic towards each other.

” Who’s not wearing blue?! Who’s the bastard not wearing blue here?! Do you want to die?! ”

” Kill! Kill! Kill!”

Convientely enough on both occasions the people not wearing  blue are Ainosuke’s friends who are then introduced to the wonderful concert past time called “stompdown”. Yes, a crowd of angry rock fans stomp 15 year olds into the ground to the point one of them ends up in the ICU. lolwhat. Okay, anyway, Ainosuke gets a beat down himself as he tries to defend his friends but it isn’t enough to kill him as Yumehito cuts the lights off just in time.

Well, anyway, Ainosuke foils Yumehito’s plans once again. Yumehito meets up with Ainosuke and taunts him, Ainosuke gets riled up and takes a knife and tries to stab him but misses. Yumehito taunts Ainsouke at his fail,

” Right here! Right here, get it! You have to stab me here! ”

Ainosuke stands there crying and Yumehito leaves him.

I don’t know why I still watch this drama. I think because despite all the shit that absolutely makes no sense in my mind its mildly entertaining in a …. If I don’t take it so seriously then it won’t suck type of way. Like, if you take it as seriously as if you’re watching Yuukan Club you won’t rage at the fail. I think I learned this from suffering through Othros no Inu.

I still don’t understand why Yumehito doesn’t just flat out kill his brother if he’s being such a cockblock to him and his plans. Its either coming off like he has a death sentence and wants to take Ainosuke down with him or he just flat out wants to kill his brother. Giving his brother life lessons on how easy humans are to kill each other is getting kind of… Yeah, okay, and how hasn’t the Japanese police picked up on…

Oh, wait.

I forgot. This is the Japanese police force we’re talking about.
