After having his ass handed to him, or hand, Ankh crawls around for 20 minutes cursing the world for getting owned. On the other hand, Eiji acts as a marriage counselor and spend fifteen mintues of the episode only in his boxers. Oh a fight happened too.
In this episode, Ankh get completely owned. He lost a large chunk of coins and is barely to keep his own self going let alone his current host (whom he discarded in a fit of rage to find a new one because he couldn’t defend himself well enough). After being taunted by a group of rowdy boys, Ankh resorts to returning to his detective host and spends the entire episode cursing the world and Eiji and everyone else for the predicament that he landed himself in.
On the other side of town, Eiji is busy trying to mend a broken relationship and after talking to the wife spends the rest of the evening with the husband and trying to get him to realize his faults. Fortunately enough he manage to save their marriage and make it back in time to taunt Ankh before saving his life with some added coins. Kamen Rider OOO saves the day, Ankh is still pissed off, and Cakeman is still being as over the top as always. Also his assistant’s skirt seems to get shorter and shorter.
Man, its a good thing this episode was good because I was about to raegquit for a moment there. This episode played a lot on Ankh and his whole frustration with not being able to bend Eiji into his will and how he couldn’t seem to ask him for help because up until that moment it was always Ankh bailing him out of extreme situations. When Eiji finally comes to his “rescue”, his carefree attitude towards the angry Greed seems to further emphasize the fact that Ankh needs Eiji more than Eiji needs him.
I really don’t get what’s going on with these Greeds or why they assumed human bodies now, especially since they still spend all their time in monster form tearing up the city or beating each other up. But we’ll see… Then there’s, who I dub, Cakeman who seems to enjoy the fact he has an advantage over Ankh and Eiji in defeating these Greed but personally I see that he’s going to end up becoming an enemy than ally later on. Also, the Detective’s sister finally confronted Eiji and Ankh and admits she knows that Ankh is possessing her brother but is willing to let it slide as long as Eiji is there.
I keep reminding myself that this is a children’s show.
Oh well, here’s to waiting for episode 9.
