Hidarime Tantei EYE is just a big giant fuck you from beginning to end; a story that is so bad it even doesn’t know where it’s going by episode 4. Bad acting, bad sets, bad storyline, bad characters — bad everything.

I stopped watching this drama at around episode 4 and didn’t bother to continue where I left off. Something told me to just finish it, especially since I didn’t remember the reason why I had stopped watching the show. All I could remember was that it had Yokoyama Yuu, Crystal Kay, and Okada Yoshinori – my stan and two people who I love as a singer and an actor – and a plot that I didn’t remember was too bad.

Oh, after watching episode 5 did I quite sharply remember why I hated this drama. Hidarime Tantei EYE doesn’t know if it’s coming or going. The drama’s plotline is so chaotic and ridiculous you are literally facepalming at everything Tanaka Ainosuke does.

Why is this 15 year old kid hanging around murder sites?

Why is the 15 year old kid always looking like he’s constipated?

Why is his nurse-friend an annoying bitch?

Why can’t no one notice that the apparently deceased Tanaka Yumeto is actually Detective Sakisaka?

Why is everyone OMG SO SHOCKED when they find out he is the deceased Yumeto?

Why did they only receive a SCRATCH AFTER JUMPING OFF OF THE ROOF OA 10 STORY BUILDING?!

And why am I wasting 4 hours of my life trying to finish this fucking stupid ass drama?

People say to not take Japanese dramas seriously. If you take them seriously then you don’t enjoy them; but, you see, if the drama is written to be a “serious detective mystery” and the damn show is called the Left Eyed Detective then god damnit, I’m going to take this shit seriously, even if I said I wasn’t a few months ago. I don’t hear jokes, I don’t see slapstick humor — this show isn’t 33pun Tantei — it’s a serious show about an annoying 15 year old and his equally annoying homicidal sociopath brother playing this retarded game of cat and mouse. The fact that this drama tries so desperately to take itself seriously makes the show even more unbearable to watch. Its like the show’s producers took a dump on NTV and dared to call it a drama. I don’t even know why 8.0% of Japan was even watching this shit show? I don’t even know why people enjoyed it!

Everything that could go wrong went wrong with this drama. If there was a list of things NOT to do when producing a drama, this stupid ass show is the prime example of it. The drama doesn’t even try to be good, its that bad. Events that are supposed to be big shockers are so underplayed and predictable you are left wondering why the fuck should I even care? When you do find out the reason why Yumeto orchestrates all these killings and terrorists acts, you seriously want to punch a hole through your monitor screen because its just so fucking stupid. Its so stupid and beyond reality that you can’t believe someone had the balls to even write the script and expect people to honestly believe this guy, let alone take him seriously or even feel remorse. The writers try to make Yumeto into this crazed, emotionless, and deranged mastermind and killer but he comes off as this asshole that does nothing but smirk and bully his little bro around. For someone who wants to take revenge on the people who kidnapped him and Ainosuke, he doesn’t really seem to know what the fuck he wants to do.

For example, he tells his brother after the kidnapping to forget everything that happened that day but then goes fakes his death, orchestrates all these ridiculous murders and crimes, attack those close to him and then finally admits that this was all to get the kid to remember the kidnapping. What? Then, for some ridiculous unexplained reason, he still wants to kill the kid because it was his fault for making him a killer or whatever… I don’t know. It’s fucking stupid.

The acting is just horrible, its not even like no one is trying anymore to make these characters believable. Everytime I see that nurse, I wanna punch her in the face for being so fucking obnoxious. Everytime Ainosuke cries or looks constipated, I wish Yumeto would just come into the scene and take him out of his misery. Everytime Yumeto looks like he’s stoned or like he’s posing for Wink Up, I wish he’d just like … I dunno… not look like or act like he’s Honma Toshio on fucking weed. The only likeable and tolerable character in the whole damned drama is Kato, and that’s because he’s only a minor character and isn’t so fucking obnoxious like the rest of the cast who can die in a god damn fire.

The only purpose this drama served was for stupid Johnny’s fangirls to fap to how hot Yokoyama Yuu and Yamada Ryosuke looked running around looking half stoned and half constipated. Anyone else coming in for actual storyline or characterization was fucked from episode 1.

I haven’t bothered to finish the final episode. I left off 10 minutes in. There’s so much shit going on though that I don’t even care what happens. The best ending is one where everyone dies for being so fucking stupid. Too bad that won’t happen.

I would never ever EVER recommend this drama to anyone to watch unless I seriously wished that person suffered cruel and unusual punishment. Because, this is exactly what this piece of shit is: Cruel and Unusual Punishment.

Fuck you, fuck this drama, and fuck NTV for making it
