A Merkypie in Japan

The Basics

This was a simple design. I sketched out the look in a sketchbook then preceded from there. There’s some jQuery animations on header text loads. Color scheme was inspired by the uniforms for Japan Airline’s inflight crew (I had recently came back from a trip abroad and flew Japan Airlines). CSS3 media queries are used to make it mobile device friendly. The blog’s main attraction is application prep for the JET Program. I wrote a few articles detailing my entire process from start to finish.
